Ivy Bordeaux is located in Mesquite, TX, just southeast of Dallas.  Our Dogues are from excellent, proven bloodlines. All are all AKC registered.  3 are imports from Poland, Ukraine, and Russia. They also have our late AKC Champion bloodlines from Laszlo. He was imported from Hungary. They have superb temperaments, size, heads, health, and most are of the desired darker red variety. Ivy Bordeauxs are raised as part of the family.  We've had Bordeauxs in our family since 2004 and have bloodlines in the official registered Foundation Stock for the AKC. We were also featured in Dog Fancy magazine in 2008. We maintin an A+ rating with the BBB and have great Facebook reviews. (We have never paid search engines to be placed at top of searches like most others) We stand behind our dogues like no other.

If you are new to the Dogue de Bordeaux (or French Mastiff), it is an incredible breed.  They are hands down the best family/guard dog I've ever seen. Their incredibly strong love for their family is amazing. They absolutely love and instinctually protect children.
As with most Mastiffs, they are very laid back, sleeping or lying around with a watchful eye the majority of the day. They are very quick to alert you of strangers.  Their ground-rumbling bark will keep away strange guests, but with your permission they will gladly grant them access, and then probably share some slobber.

In most areas it is absolutely essential they have access to the indoors, especially here in Texas.  Due to their size they do not tolerate high temperatures (they love the colder weather!).  A doggy door to your home or at least temperature-controlled dog quarters is necessary. These dogues are big-time lovers too, so they will not do well if you leave them alone for long periods of time.
Please beware, if you choose this breed, you will probably never want to go without one ever again! Please click links below for pics and info on each of our dogues and for upcoming litters.

This series of pictures showcases our dogues' temperaments. The "monster" Laszlo and an intimidated little girl meeting for the first time. Instant love.

I've been a huge dog lover my entire life. Me and my first dog "Red Rover", ~1975.
I've been a firefighter/paramedic w DFR since 2000. Here I was amazingly blessed to have brought this dog back to life with CPR after another firefighter brought him to me, completely lifeless, out of a house fire.
I've been a police officer (mostly reserve) for over 12 yrs. This young man wanted to see the car.
Got my BS degree in biomedical science from the College of Veterinary Medicine at TAMU.
